Full Moon Paddle

Full Moon Paddle

Launch at sundown and use the light of the full moon to catch a glimpse of the river’s night time wildlife. As the moonlight gets brighter, we will paddle down the Root River to enjoy the evening sounds.

The Full Moon Paddle typically will run from 7pm – 8:30pm and we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes early so everyone can take their time getting in the watercraft.  Afterwards, gather around the campfire for snacks. Paddlers are welcome to bring beverages of your choice to enjoy by the fire.

Canoes/kayaks, paddles and life jackets are provided. Some previous experience recommended.  River Bend has 15 canoes, 2 tandem kayaks, and 10 single kayaks available.  Space is limited and pre-registration/payment is required!  The cost is $20 per person for River Bend members, $25 for non-members.  Canoes can hold up to 3 people per vessel.
